Roll Out the Green Carpet!
The Finer Details is committed to helping sustain the earth, both at our events and in our office.
Ways to make your events green include:
- Using 100% Post Consumer Waste (PCW) paper and organic vegetable dyes for all your printing needs.
- Never use single servings
- Ensure your caterer is sourcing their food sustainably, and ask if they donate leftovers to foodbanks
- Using compostable foamcore and biodegradable banners for your signage (yes, they do exist!)
- Use e-vites and online ticket registration systems
- Silk flowers and plants look as good as real, and can be used over and over again
- And for fresh flowers, ensure your florist shops locally and sustainably
More
and more suppliers and vendors are becoming aware of consumers' desires
to adopt 'green' principles in every aspect of their lives, and often,
sustainable products are around the same price. Ask your vendor to
price-match the non-green option!
Ways The Finer Details is going green everyday:
- We recycle our office paper and print on it double-sided
- We've switched from a paper newsletter to an electronic mail out
- We
have our printers set to 'Draft' to reduce ink consumption and
generation of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) during production by up
to 90%
- And of course, we encourage our clients to take on the above Earth-saving strategies at every event!
